There's a lot of "fluff" on here, I don't know what you're talking about. Delgado's little treasures are more obvious here than other albums. Carpenter's meaty riffs just happen to be a bit more apparent.

Yes, CMND/CTRL is awesome. I don't mind that Carpenter's riffing got much more heavy on this record then on Wrist. In fact, I prefer it. They didnt repeat themselves from the last record which isnt a bad thing at all.

Don't focus on the guitar then. Listen to the songs. Listen to the drums, the bass, and notice the atmosphere that Delgado is adding. There's so much more here than just guitar riffs and Chino's singing, even if they are the focus points and are amazing in themselves.

Sextape, This Place is Death, 976-Evil, and Beauty School aren't focused on the guitar and most of Prince isn't.
The difference is that Stephen was given complete control over guitars and he is a much bigger fan of riffs than Chino, who mostly just strums chords.
