def the most "folk" album they've ever made although given the recent changes to their imagery i'm not surprised in the least

"song of the snowstorm" is a jam tho. album is decent so far.

Hey the mix isnt shit balls on the new one
quite a bit more folk tinged than to my liking but its pretty great other wise

yeah i need more riffage
|
| |
just got through my first listen
I like it. I dont know if its the folk instrumentation or due how forward the vox are in the mix, but some parts sound disappointingly rudimentary. Think this mostly applies to the percussion just being these BOOMs but idk

Im not sure how I feel about this yet. Its definitely good, and pretty grand, but some of it just don't sit right with me
|
| |
yeah that's where i'm at at the moment too
|
| |
The version they have on bandcamp for this sounds FAR different than my rip and the on on spotify
|
| |
New album leaked.....uyhhhhhhhhh
|
| |
it's streaming lol
|
| |
better "different" or worse "different"?
|
| |
Worse different perhaps

3/5 after one listen, not enough interesting riffs to be anything beyond decent. extremely folk-heavy. hoping it will grow but nothing even approaches the kind of songwriting power on this record.

Pretty much have the same feelings here.
If anything I've been jamming the 2015 remaster of Voice of Steel
|

i didn't think i'd ever say this, but it's also kind of overly long without having any reason to be that way. VoS builds to the last track, but this kind of meanders from the beginning
