I'm still really curious if White Oak Doors just cuts off on purpose or if the leak just cuts off that last minute or so.

dunno, it still kinda bugs me that it feels like there's this fucking epic release of energy coming up and then it just cuts off. the idea's cool, though.

Yea I gotta admit, it'd cater a lot more to the listener if they did something subtle, like had a mumbled train sound fade out after music cut off, or ended it in static or something. Idk if that would just cheese it up though. Plus the perspective is from the brother, so if dead, he wouldn't be hearing shit. However, if it's confusing to enough people then you've kind of lost the artistic battle - you want people to understand your point or everyone loses.

Travels is still best album. Storyline of EDSN annoys me somewhat.

Nooooooo way. New album beats Travels, but Travels still kicks ass.

Actually, the only tracks from the brothers point of view are the acoustic ones. The rest are about the brother, thus second person being used.

shoutbox re-post on where the acoustic tracks fit:

This is how I see it: "Brothers" comes before "Warm Blood Rush", because it reflects on the brothers' childhood together. "Headstone" is him sitting at his wife's grave after he leaves the bar every night. "I Don't Mind" is the period between "Empty Glass" and "White Knuckles" when him and his wife are living life. "But Breathing" takes place between "Brothers" and "Warm Blood Rush".

But Breathing is before Brothers.

I Don't Mind and Headstone are the personalised songs of Empty Glass and Cemetary Walls respectively, because the original songs are in second person.

But Breathing sounds like a reflection of family after the "kid" period of Brothers, but I agree with the rest.
