I like the jam feel of this album. It's like if I saw them live, they could play any one of these songs and jam on it forever. I don't get that feeling from any of their other albums. Still, it's not their best. Vheissu is better for the variety. I haven't listened to the other albums enough to form a rating. I'll rate this soon.

At first, I hated this album. After I gave it a few listens, I started enjoying it.
Now, over a year later, I'm in love with Beggars. I can't decide which I like more, The Illusion of Safety or Beggars.
Thrice is maturing and they are becoming a stellar band and a breath of fresh air into the now-stale music industry. Teppei shows his command of nearly any instrument while Dustin's depth and incredible lyrical (very poetic here) and vocal skill dominate every track. This really is an amazing album. It's a gift and a curse that they aren't uber-popular .

At this point in time, Beggars is my favorite Thrice CD.

a masterpiece. Thrice have managed to outdo themselves again.
There's not a single weak song, everything fits perfectly and this is easily my most favorite album from Thrice. Artist in the Ambulance and Identity Crisis following.
