The way they use samples on here is brilliant. The one of the "comedian" or whatever he is in I Was A Prisoner In Your Skull is so thought provoking.

Apparantly that came from the tapes of Jarboe's father who was an FBI agent.

Interesting. If that's true, I wonder who he's addressing every time he says "you had to call me"

I believe the sampleS came from tapes Jarboe's father had. I believe he worked for the FBI.

Edit: didn't see that someone already brought that up. My bad.

Also yea Helpless Child and The Sound blow my mind. Gira's lyrics are so fitting and chilling too.

Or Children of god. Either way. You can't go wrong, a lot of different eras and sounds from this band but all of them are unique.

I've heard their first two and the last album yo. I remember hearing White Light and TGA, but i don't remember much of them, so gotta re-visit hard. This, Children of God and The Seer i will listen for sure.

I highly enjoy The Seer but never really understood the hype. Their newest record is way better.

Looked their review up and stopped at the beginning of the paragraph that causes their late 80s and early 90s records goth.

Helpless Child was not what I was expecting, I need a few more listens to fully digest it before I can have an opinion on it. Like all their albums and songs haha
