This album actually ages alot better then any of their other ones. The only other album I could contending for first to this one is De-Loused but even that seemed to have some fille rwhile this is straight up fun filled prog rock with loopy lyrics. But then again isnt that EVERy tmv album? haha

Goliath and Aberinkula are ace, but I don't bother with the rest.

Pridgen's my favorite drummer so I love his presence here, but the rest of the instrumentation is too forgettable.

The only part of Wax that I like is Pridgen. Everything else is just eh!

i love john hanson and i dont know how you can ignore all the songs/amazing moments mentioned here if you liek the two you mentioned:

There is the sudden shift to soft theatrics in “Metatron” and “Soothsayer”, which are two of the most majestic moments on the record. There is the *almost* heavy-as-hell riff in “Ouroborous” that appears out of nowhere, leading the song to be perhaps the first TMV song you could tag as “metal”. The most surprising moment on the record is saved for almost last, as near the end of “Conjugal Burns” you hear Cedric scream for a good period of time, and it’s likely scarier than any Saw flick by a mile.

See, man, I just don't agree with any of that. The rest of the album is just really homogenous to me, and I tried to like it but it never sticked.
