It isn't good.

I enjoy it for what it is. City of Evil would've been good had they cut the album in half.

waking the fallen is by far their best, plus its pretty good for metalcore
It is neither of these things, City of Evil is their best.

"What's wrong with Waking The Fallen? Aside from awful production."
...the production isn't bad. at all.
|
| |
It's pretty shoddy, even the band weren't happy with it.

I can imagine that the 1/5 was to prove a point about the album, but is it really that accurate? I see some things that you speak of that you enjoyed on this album, even if they're overwhelmed.

Ouch...tough crowd.
I liked it. Honestly, this and City of Evil are the only A7x albums I like. I can tell why old fans would be pissed, though.
Still, I can't deny I love the songs Afterlife, Little Piece of Heaven, Dear God, and Almost Easy.

City Of Evil and Waking The Fallen are both good albums, but really nothing special.

Comment was intended to be both misleading and true at the same time. Any bets that the new album will benefit from having longer song lengths and a new drummer?

I hope new album is more like City Of Evil with more of a metalcore side/some variation.

hope the new album never happens
