It's a pretty sweet tune. The pared down sound works really well for them. Both the percussion and synths are really menacing.

I also heard it for the first time in the context of the video which was an interesting change for me. Usually I don't really bother with videos.

menacing is exactly the word i was thinking of. or sinister. w/e, it's dark and catchy and i love it. video is actually pretty cool too but it seems like a lot of people on youtube were turned off by it

same here dude. music videos often ruin my interpretation of the song (especially when it's just the band playing with some stupid dramatic bits thrown in), but this one was interesting. kind of like a meditation on technology controlling us, or at least that's what i took away from it.

I didn't think the video was anything too special. The song however is much better. The subtlety with which they build and deconstruct to and from the climax (~3 mins in the video) is really impressive.

Gonna leave this here, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llQMLLG3L-M

I would agree with your remarks on the video's content. It's nothing too profound but I thought it matched the mood of the tune quite well.

that bit just after her hysterical laughter? i LOVE that moment; that's when the song sounds darkest.

I referenced a bit later in the song but that's definitely when the build starts, in my mind.

The video is total garbage but it's pretty hilarious.

The fact that this guy has over 5k subscribers...

Edit: Apparently this guy thinks the media is trying to make Massive Attack the next big thing, guess this is the climax to 25 years of critical edging?

The basslines on this album are just incredible. Simple, yet warm and catchy as hell
