well the thing about court is that it doesn't have larks tongues in aspic part one nor does it have larks tongues in aspic part two so that's a big negative there

and the thing about Court is, it has Moonchild, which is a wanking waste of time

Yeh they both rule, not as hard as epitaph and 21st century schizoid man tho.

Moonchild opens well then gets lost. Its not like easy money and the talking drum don't drag a lil bit. Also book of saturday is probs the best thing here

tbh when I first heard moonchild I wasn’t aware of how contentious the song was. I honestly really enjoyed its descending direction into darkness and reemerging harmoniously again. Then I understood that everyone else thought it was a waste of time lol

Then we came to the understanding that Moonchild is simply 'good', nothing more nor less. An outlier on an album rife with classics.

This is better than their debut and you can't convince me otherwise.

This is tied with Discipline for second best after Red.

part 1 was honestly pretty boring, hoping the rest is better

This is definitely their most obtuse album Gyro, requires a lot of patience at times.

I can't wait for you to hear Discipline and Red omg,

Best band ever.

Not gonna lie, Pt. 1 is the best thing here but is in turn their most challenging piece

As difficult as it is rewarding

Part 2 is like Stravinsky meets metal.

Love this record.

red is a hard 5. already played it like 7 times. starless might be their best song imo.

i'll try this out again fripp but yeah it definitely challenged my patience lol. pt 1 just seemed to be a bunch of boring prog rock/experimental noodling. i tend to find that stuff boring but i love this band so i'll try it out a couple more times at least

Far from my favorite Crimson, but Pt. 2 is one of my favorite tracks of theirs
