The most significant way that Sputnik affected the way I listen to music was by helping me gain a sense of the chronology/history of the genres and subgenres I’m into.
Tundra’s ears have been filled with modern-day djent for who knows how long. So obviously this album sounds a little weird to him.
But then again, I was only 7 when this album came out, and I still regard it as a classic because once i finally found it, I had enough context to understand what I was listening to (chiefly by using Sputnik, among other sources to help me understand the chronology of things). I guess the question is, are you intrigued enough to try and figure out what you’re listening to, or are you just gonna write it off based on first impressions?

Pink Roses really is something special, I can't put my finger on it but there really is nothing like it. It's up there with the likes of Song For The Deaf by QOTSA for hitting an unexplained musical euphoria for me. Whole thing just transcends.
