Rowdy crowd at a Deafheaven show? You can't even mosh to DH, how is this possible.

BrushedRed is completely delusional lol

Lol you can definitely mosh to Deafheaven. The crowd last night was crazier than any metal show I've ever been too.

it has blasts and tremolo riffs just like every black/death/grind band that you can mosh to, so I don't see why people wouldn't mosh to their faster parts. Especially now when we got all them chuggzzz to jump around to.

lol, you just reminded me that in the first few minutes of "brought to the water" I almost thought I was gonna hear gang vocals or some kind of chanting because something sounded like someone screaming "hey!"

there's no reason to mosh to pretty much any black metal, let alone stuff in this style.

There's no reason to mosh ever. But it's fun.

Idk, I saw these guys live in a small venue and there was a shit ton of moshing. The audience was very young and they treated the experience a lot like a hardcore show. The songs where a lot more fun with all of the kinetic energy flying around. It was a great opportunity for crowd surfing. The lead guitarist kicked me in the back.

WITTR banned moshing at their shows, but Deafheaven opened for BTBAM so everyone was hyped up and throwing their bodies around like crazy.

WITTR was always a bit on the pretentious side, now more than ever. And yeah it was on that tour that I saw them. Skipped out before BTBAM though.

moshing during atmos bm shows is really dumb considering most of the bands perform in super small areas and moshing distracts from absorbing the atmosphere the music tries to create. People mock the "hipster" crowds for just standing around bobbing their heads or taking pictures, but that's what you're supposed to do at a small show anyway. WITTR are a little different given their audiences are bigger than, say, Ash Borer's, but still. That's the atmosphere they want at their shows.

the WITTR show was in a parking lot in Providence, RI and it's easily my favorite concert. lots of candlelight and nodding, yeah, but a transcendent experience overall.
