I find this pretty consistent throughout — the best songs are kinda scattered across, not front or back loaded like some albums.

"intension is a really solid piece, always liked that one more than right in two, weirdly"

Agreed. I love both Disposition and Reflection also so it's not surprising is my favorite moment from the second half.

Ha, that's great - and slightly uncomfortable. But the pieces fit.

Nice Right in Two cover to get comfortable again: https://youtu.be/6E1DkgUNfBc

I still think this is more consistent than Ænima.

I remember a time when I actually loved this album.

Then I turned 18.

Agreed, although I still think Aenima's peaks are much higher

I think they're about equal in terms of consistency just that aenima is consistently better lol

Honestly, the interludes are one the only reasons I don't have Aenima 5'd. Then again, the interludes are the biggest problem I have on most Tool albums... they just seem so unnecessary, lol

For some reason the interludes on Aenima kind of help the flow for me, and add character and mystery to the album even tho half of them are pointless. The ones on here and Fear Inoculum though are pretty much totally useless, if you don't count Lost Keys or Intension as interludes (the latter is one of my favs on here).

The first half of this album is extremely boring. From Lipan conjuring onwards it's great though. That being said, i still hate the crescendo of rosetta stoned. "Shit the bed again" just completely ruins it.

They're my favourite band but ever since this album came out it's been a letdown.
