I always feel i should give this and roads to judah another go, neither of them really sat with me but i really liked the demo.

the new one was a bit disappointing imo. i dig the ideas and melodies they had on the album but the execution was a bit off at some moments

In the live videos I saw on the tube the only thing that didn't really convince me was the vocal delivery. How was it?

He sounded spectacular live. His delivery definitely sounded more like it did here, even on the new songs. He did do some more guttural work too which was cool. Honestly, even live videos couldn't really capture the energy the group had.

For the record, Pecan Tree is dfhvn's most obvious WitTR-ripoff it's not even funny. It rules, but its beginning sections sound like they were ripped straight from the Celestial Lineage sessions.

Live show last night was crazy good. The small tweaks the band made in the performance of the new record just clicked in a way the studio recording couldnt.

Crowd was a bit rowdy for me, but i was still close enough to the front to get a good view of everything
