this has the worst Tool interlude ever in Viginti Tres though

Agreed with that about viginti tres. I think I must only have listened to the entirety of that song once ever in 13 years.
I actually pretty enjoy the interludes on FI.
Lateralus only really has two interludes in the main body of the cd both of which are a minute long and are actually kind of cool (Faaip is very skippable at the end, and it used to scare the shit out of me when I was 13 so it has some value to it.)

Lateralus interludes are best. I rarely skip. Faaip is fucking eerie as hell, I love it!

used to not care for this as much as their other albums but it is growing on me after revisiting this month.

I like it a bit more after FI. Wasn't a big fan of the new record and it made me enjoy this record more for some reason

This is better than Fear Inoculum, agreed with everyone.

they should sue themselves for plagiarizing the jambi riff on fi

They never plagiarized the Jambi riff on FI tho... anyhoo. Rosetta Stoned is still one of my fave songs of theirs but I can never comprehend what Adam was going for with that vocoder solo. It sounds fucking terrible and grinds the song to a halt. Makes me appreciate the FI solos so much more.

not only did they plagiarize it, they also ripped it off

What a load of BS ^^

I was referring to the accuracy of your statement, since they never once re-used the talk box solo from Jambi in FI

I could never 5 anything with section that sounds fucking terrible, the vocoder effect comes from the time tool had creative vitality

I have gained a new appreciation for Rosetta Stoned this month. Never cared for it in my younger days.

yeah I might consider bumping this up after spending some time with it again... suspect I may have just been trying to compensate for my Tool fanboyism by giving my least favorite of their albums an especially low score

I don't find this to be that much "weaker" than aenima and lateralus tbh.
