"What was with so many American bands and doing the whole Christian metalcore thing.
Was it so ppl in the mid-west wouldn't get mad their kids were going to a non-christian rock show?"
ain't marketing great

As I Lay Dying used to put on a sick live show.
One of the best scene shows I have seen tbh

I’ve only seen Meshuggah once, but it was when they opened for Tool on the Lateralus tour. Meshuggah, Tool at their peak, an eighth of shrooms — a night I won’t soon forget.

can't imagine going to a festival where there's no good acid going round

Yea I can’t say As I Lay Dying wasn’t good live, I liked them a lot back then and even now I don’t think the majority of their stuff is awful
Last time I saw them was after The Powerless Rise came out, they were headlining a tour called COOL TOUR
Rest of the lineup was War of Ages, Cancer Bats, The Acacia Strain, Architects, blessthefall, Underoath and Between the Buried and Me. I don’t remember Architects or Acacia Strain being there so maybe they weren’t on for the FL date

I've seen them twice, last time was The Powerless Rise and I think the first was when they released An Ocean Between Us.
Every Time I Die were there, they were not good live. Out of tune and wasted.

I can’t believe how excited I was for that show lol. If someone asked me if I wanted to go to that now I’d be like no thx bruh

I feel u.
Hell, I remember being 15/16 and being stoked on seeing Atreyu.
Now people my age are all jacked up on seeing MCR headlining Download. Weird how bands that were considered trash back then are considered "pioneers of the genre now"
