.neon is soooo overrated it hurts. It has some killer stuff and then some OK stuff.

Sure Lantlos and Alcest were the building blocks for the album but just because they were the first to really make the sound known, doesn't lessen the credibility of this album. This is leagues better than really anything else in the blackgaze scene. I enjoy Alcest and Lantlos's albums but I mean there has been no one else to capture the emotional intensity of this album or the delicious gaziness. I find myself listening to and finding more music that is similar and sure while a lot of it is awesome, nothing just feels like "Dream House" or "The Pecan Tree"
