For christ's sake how does this thread move so quickly?

"its way nicer to go for a quick drink before, and then go for a long drink after"
Word. Get one down in the venue bar and then let it all happen
|

its basically a random discussion thread with random pages where we argue about tool. there's at least one of these threads a year

You ever stand in one place for awhile and you go to walk somewhere else and you hear the RIIIPP of your shoe peeling off the floor

Damn, you guys are really selling the gig experience. It’s basically a bag of shite until your night is potentially saved by some incredible music (or not as the case may be).

I used mosh n stuff when I was younger but now I can't stand those guys in the pit. And the pit seems to follow you around as well.
You'll move back to get out of their way and some asshole pushes you in or starts a new circle where you are.
I guess I've become one of those guys like Otto in the Simpsons where he's like "Sit down! You're ruining it!". end my life pls

Lol, yeah that’s definitely me as well.
|

ehh i like a good mosh, just depends on the crowd really
counterparts and surprisingly the story so far were great pits
had some gigs were i took one look at the crowd and decided against it though
|

Moshing is something I probably shouldn't be doing anymore, but whenever there's a pit, I can't help but jump right in.

The pit at Story So Far was something I wanted nothing to do with. As soon as those jangly notes for The Glass started I place lost it (It's a good song) and I was holding on to my beer for dear life as the sadboi zoomers went nuts

I don’t mind moshing still. I’m 30 now but I’m tall and still fit as ever (bless up), but yea among Meshuggah pits, the florida Tool show was the most ridiculous and I wish I could exaggerate it. I had 3 joints, my flask filled (as it should be) and since it was Florida the crowd was intense, even for me holding my heavy ass in place. I went from 5 rows in the front, to being pushed 10 rows back, 20 rows back, to somehow being in the 3rd row of people in front of the stage. so glad I wasn’t sober to just go with the flow of that insanity. I’d do it again.

Relinquished you’re a FL boi too?

Napalm Death and Hatebreed were by far my most epic pit experiences, but on the other hand festival pits are just different than ones at regular shows.
|

To be fair, I moshed my ass off the first time I saw Meshuggah back in 2010. Was high as a fucking kite and didn't give a shit how stupid I looked swaying like Jens to the drums.

First pit I ever went in was Maylene & the Sons of Disaster in 06 or 07

yh I’m from FL but I’m based in Stockholm for almost a decade. I fly often though, I wasn’t gonna miss TOOL’s first show back in my state.

also when Meshuggah played that same night I was dead center in the front dancing like I was in a techno show, I was so alive
