Very much agreed.

If this album had the production quality of Ohms or PM it would be leagues better.

Prayers, acid hologram, l(Mirl), doomed user, gore, hearts/wires, phantom bride and rubicon are all great. Where this sags is with xenon-pittura infamante, two of their dullest, most lifeless songs. Geometric is kinda meh too but a little better than those two.

Totally agree, cut those two out and give us a remaster and I’ll slap a 5 on this bad boy
Gotta say I love Geometric Headdress tho, Doomed User always felt like “well shit we need a heavy song somewhere” and that’s what we got. It’s fine but it’s closer to the bottom here for me
But yes Pittura and Xenon are far and away the worst here and probably both bottom 5 songs these guys have ever made

I like Geo too, it's a cool, unorthodox little song. Doomed has some cool riffs but not my favorite Chino vocals, too yelpy. Chino played the unreleased Gore song Crest when he broadcasted on Mixlr and it easily cleared both Pittura and Xenon, dunno why they took it off.

Shit, if they ever drop Eros I hope we get the b sides from the Diamond Eyes-private music era. There’s gotta be some killer tracks.
I never even knew that existed

They're never gonna release Eros man :[

Phantom Bride is amazing [2]
Into Rubicon too which is a great closer. Album would be a strong 3.5 with better production

tbh I’d say Gore-Phantom Bride-Rubicon is one of the best final stretches of any album they’ve made

Such an odd album. So many odd decisions. Still love it. Just odd.

@GhostShelter - yes...the muddy production on this album often drags it down for me even though it does kind of fit the ethos of the songwriting. Just want it to be louder and punchier in the production and it just kind of whimpers or shouts at best
