Breaking Bad comparison isn't fair, it's a show with an intense amount of focus. BTBAM is more like Lost. You're not totally sure if they know what they're doing overall, but damn, do they know how to put together an episode. Good performances all around.
But now that I think about it, it could be like Breaking Bad too. Breaking Bad takes your normal show and asks you if you want guacamole with it as well. It's made right at the table.

Yeah first few episodes of BB were way too rushed, when I went back to them I was pretty disappointed. Walt was cooking by episode 1. It's not the point though, just felt way too rushed, but I guess that's what is expected of pilots so they get aired, that they hop to it
