Just stumbled upon this... Look up A Perfect Circle - UNRELEASED: 2006 Album on YT. It's just instrumental demos from what was supposed to be the follow up to eMOTIVe and there's some really good stuff there

^ Reminds of how there were unreleased Sunny Day Real Estate demos. If I get around to it I may check that out. I think there is some validity to that story and yours. I think I only am posting here because I am wearing a neat Perfect Circle shirt I found at Hot Topic.
This album certainly hits emotions. Halo is so damn sad and dark. It's called the Noose. Yea totally got thst right the first time.
