Its so disheartening the potential for improvement is right there and mx just can't be assed. trilo and a couple others are actual coders and could at least patch things up a little bit. No new users and a huge chunk of staffers and regulars being gone makes this place feel quite depressing tbh.

site's so outdated I think we're beyond "patching things up a little bit", site would need to be re-worked from the ground up likely given the countless vulnerabilities discovered since this site feasibly last received an update, meaning it's very likely riddled with them

how slim to none are the odds that someone just. idk, starts a site from the ground up? because like i know people have migrated to other sites like aoty and rym but what’s stopping us all from doing a crazy group project and building a site from scratch besides the obvious time and money aspects of things? it seems like such a longshot but if the site’s really in this dire of circumstances, fuck it why not right?

sadly idk if there's a justification for a sput 2.0 when rym exists. keeping the lights on here and fixing some broken shit like avatars and new user registration is what prob makes most sense

in a perfect world we could get this site fixed And work on a new site, but i have zero idea how to even go about getting either of those done so ig i’ll pull a chair up to the dumpster fire while it’s still burning. such a fucking shame dude, i really wish there was a way to fix this that someone would actually act on

Bugs definitely need fixed. I don't see why that can't happen tbh. I know Mx is some fancy scientist/professor at Dartmouth and that is sick, but it's time for him to give the reins to someone else.
