Yeah I don’t really get hardcore dancing, love a good mosh pit (botch two months ago in London were perfect, no hardcore dancing at all)

London is a different beast. I first saw loathe there, which is their home town

Loathe did admit they were far from home (colorado)

They had a killer set list

Yep speed was sick. Honestly show me the body was cool but they’re so bizarre not sure if the crowd dug it. Loathe should have come on before knocked loose.

Regardless it was a great show

I like hc dancing bc it's fun, dumb and dangerous. That being said, I never try to injure people or make people partake. The increase in nonsensical crowd killing at shows has become ridiculous especially with the genres being more popular than ever. Feel like it should be saved for smaller/DIY shows & fests where everyone is on the same page

I know Twitter is a cesspool but crowd killing is becoming more and more encouraged there and people are trying to shame others for going to hardcore shows and not punching a random person in the face. God forbid people just like the music and want to see it performed live without getting injured for no reason.

Shits wack as hell. Not every band is gonna have that level of violence (most shouldn't).

Mosh discourse twitter is exhausting. They complain when people don't hc dance to Slipknot at a corporate festival lol. I'd rather push mosh than not mosh at all!

More and more humans are developing anger issues derived from a lot of factors and that is showing everywhere. It's a matter of time before a GG Allin type of character is born inside a metal/hc band and things go too far/wild. That's my two cents...

The explosion of industries that make entertainment out of fighting is incredible. Street fights and bouts of violence used to be quite rare back in the day where I live. Now many kids think it's normal to go full UFC mode because of stupid shit. Bare knuckle fighting is just the next logical step, and afterwards I don't even want to know...

Lol there absolutely needed to be some movement and energy at that Slipknot performance but I'd bet most people in the crowd were 35-45 if they grew up as Slipknot fans. You aren't going to see hardcore dancing from that crowd that had to go to their corporate job the next day.

I am still traumatized from someone throwing me up to crowd surf at age 31 at last year's Botch show lmao. Thought those days were over and sorry to those I crushed.

"I don’t have a malicious single thing to say about these guys, I’m just pointing out the insane jump in quality between Pop Culture-Blue and A Tear-and this"

fucking THANK YOU, there are certain corners of the internet that talk about Pop Culture/Laught Tracks/ADSOB like they're these untouchable early-career masterpieces that the band can never possibly live up to now that they're getting bigger and it makes me feel like I'm going insane.

It’s so so so much softer now than it was in like 2008, trust me. You don’t hear of venues getting shut down because of fights or big crew activity anymore at all. The ghost of stuff like FSU is still around but it’s mostly young kids like the singer of momentum that wanna ride the coattails more than it’s like actual crew shit.

It’ll never get as bad as it was pre-smart phones because people get immediately doxxed by fragile nerds for getting hit too hard on the edge of the pit these days.

Well said botb, I forgot about mosh crews. Remember them jumping someone at a Poison the Well show in 08 and a full on brawl during a TUI tour in 2011. There's definitely some crew cosplay at work the more I think about it lmao

FSU was pretty big where I live like 10 years ago but then a bunch of em got cancelled for being creepy toward minors or being too violent and now you never hear about em anymore

There was a Christcore one in VA in like 2010 for like 3 months that all got beat up by actual crew guys. They had like 70 members and all but like 5 of them dipped out the back door and those 5 dudes got destroyed in an alley behind the venue lmao
