'Honestly anyone making a best of 2023 list before hearing next Friday's cruciamentum lp is probably jumping the gun'
surely doing ANY AOTY list in Nov is jumping the gun, I mean it's not even the end of Nov (I realise not a lot will come out in Dec, but at least wait a couple of weeks)

On that subject this may have been promoted to #1
or at least #2 / #1 metal most likely, usurping Kostnateni
some seriously impressive song-writing chops here, these guys know how to prog in cohesive and satisfying ways. Cult of Shaad'oah's dual guitars is an event for the ages

This feels too much like a pastiche of five different bands at times relative to the last couple albums they've done but it's still quite a good time. Fave song's prob Cult of Shaad’oah currently.

Parts of this album make me want to hear these guys do a spinoff band playing color and the shape era foo fighters covers. The mix on this album and some of the sus chords and soaring leads feel arena ready
