It is quite fantastic one of my fav releases, its no Phanezoric but im glad for them to go exploring their sound more. As a package Phanezoric 1&2 is the Oceans Magnum opus. Jurrasic is a frankly absurd song, Devonian, Permian. I hope they utilise Loics full range next album

Pelagial for me, I just like the pure ocean theme more than all that prehistoric stuff.

Most of their discog is the epoch stuff. Pelagial is great and im glad they rmanaged to record Loics vocals for it. He was almost not on it due to vocal issues. Also i think Robin wrote most of it as one track or thats how it started

Just getting into these guys and it’s pretty cool shit. It’s as if the weeknd and Billie eilish started a metal band and got Lewis capaldi to do vocals. Epic.
|
| |
that does not sound epic
nothing about lewis capaldi is 'epic'
please do not ever write that sentence again

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the literal music school, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Mike Patton B-Sides, and I have over 300 confirmed ratings.

I just mean the vocalist sounds similar to Capaldi. And his sense of humour is definitely epic. Dude is funny as fuck.

This band is so frustrating to me. Lyrically, there is brilliance at times and then complete cringe at other times. Sonically, it is the same thing. They do a lot right, but also have moments that make me scratch my head in confusion. The Summoning is a great example IMO. The later half of that song just doesn't work. Ascensionism is another example, that trap section just feels pasted in and doesn't work at all. I wish they'd make a more focused album because I feel like it could be something very special. I know part of the appeal is how they mesh so many genres together, but it doesn't all work IMO.

Pretty based take Zackkkk but what if I told you I literally went to school for music and there's a ton of music that a whole lot of people enjoy that I personally think is dogshit but I would never waste my time trying to explain to them that it ~doesn't sound good/work~

bummer that this well written review is now hidden and a meme-y "I hate this cause it's popular" cringelord writeup is what shows for this album.
