I personally think it's because more than half the time they seem like they were done purely to generate excitement but in practice they add nothing lol. Like give them an oh shit moment, let them flex, something. Don't just give them like 4 lines of the songs normal structure and that's it what's the point

totally agreed. that's why i really dug the will ramos feature on the new periphery. song was literally built around him. rare for that to happen but it shouldn't be!

One of the reasons I love Spencer's feature from this album, they actually give him some time to breathe. I especially hate when it's a screaming feature and they're indistinguishable from the regular vox
