After being a life long fan of this band for one whole day, I have come to the conclusion that Periphery is just Memphis May Fire if Memphis May Fire were super into Dream Theater/Meshuggah/Polyphia. I won't be taking any further questions at this time.

Naw the new album is probably their best work since the 1st album but still not as good as Nomadic when the band found their perfect sound.

I still think P4 is Periphery at their best, almost every song has something for you there. This album is damn close to P2 which is also a great album. P3 sucked to me only liked a few songs. Again this album is nowhere perfect but it is a good listen, Silhouette is not that great to me but the way it was described by others I was worried about listening but I prefer a song like Satallites over Silhouette. Album is pretty good, its def a mix between P4 and P2 which IMO is their best work. Also the hate for Spencer is ridiculous, the guy has some incredible range. Not liking Clean singing does not automatically make Spencer a bad vocalists. Hope this comment and my others make you metal hipsters cringe and cry more cause the band is getting better or learning more with each release, but I cant argue that P3 sucks ass.

just listened to P4 again and it's simply so much more balanced than P5. The only dud on it is Sentient Glow.

After that I'll revisit Juggernaut given the praise, and after that, P2 and P1 which did not impress me at the time

idk how anyone can rank alpha on its own anywhere besides last... there's like six actual songs on there and its pretty much just exposition/rising action for omega



i can at least see the rationalization for omega being ranked above other stuff with the t/t + stranger things being arguably their two best songs and taking up half its run time... but alpha does not have that. would also say p3 has more really good material than alpha alone even if p3 has got some bullshit too
