It's certainly one of their better modern albums (not like that's a high bar to clear), but if you go in expecting anything from their classic era then you're definitely going to be disappointed.

I don't have any special attachment to old In Flames so I really enjoyed this one on its own terms.

The trick is to set the bar so low you can just fall over it with zero effort.

I hope their next album carries on the direction this album is taking. If they smooth out the rough parts of this album, they may release an album that is great from start to finish again.

Yeah I really really liked this when it first came out, but I forgot about it after like 2 weeks
Next one needs more staying power

Definitely, this is good but after Dialogue this album really hits a bump. If all songs were of the quality of The Great Deceiver and In the Dark (for 2 examples), this would be an easy 4.

Hm, it seems like I am the only one here who adore “End of Transmission”. Tbh this is my favorite track on here! It’s gorgeous chorus’s classic IF vibing leads and dope main riff made me headbanging like crazy. Last time I enjoyed IF song so much was Take This Life.
This is a very pleasant album with a bunch of great songs.
My top 3 are:
End of Transmission
The Great Deceiver
Meet Your Maker
Also would honor:
In The Dark
Pure Light of Mind
Forgone pt.2
In general I feel like the second half of album is more consistent and strong.
All in all this is their best since RTR.

So happy they are out of their creative slump, hope the next album will be even better.

also Foregone, Pt. 2 still has probably my favorite riff of the year, man that thing GOES

Seein em live in a week, hoping they don't suck but their music has sucked for 20+ years so keeping expectations low. Assuming their setlist is gonna have less than half of their good shit in it too

Bleeding Out is ok but it really is saved by the solo and the awesome opening riff. Foregone, Pt.2 does indeed slap but I think I prefer Pt.1 slightly.
