I like it when people critique Marty's solos and talk shit about them. If you think you're better than Marty Friedman at writing solos, then maybe you should show everybody. But last time I checked, there are no guitar virtuosos on this website wasting time commenting on a Megadeth album.
Bottom Line: If you don't like the solos that Marty or Dave write, keep your fat mouth shut.

Friedman is amazing. He is one of my favorite lead players, along with Jeff Loomis and John Petrucci.
Edit: I guess anybody could guess that already though haha

I love poking my nose where it doesn't belong.
I just wanted to point out that the solos on this album are amazing.
Mostly Dave's solo in Holy Wars. Which is better than the ToS solo.

Tornado of Souls solo is better than Holy Wars I must say, but both are great.

Dave's solo for holy wars is great, but holy shit dude, how dare you say it's better than fucking ToS. IT isn't even as good as the Lucretia one.

I usually can tell because I'm a huge megadeth fan and their styles are a bit different (ie. dave usually uses less different notes per solo and his solos are less melodic, while marty does constant use of sweep picking), but it's on darklyrics.com and also on megadeth's booklets inside their albums.

Oh! that's right I remember seeing that in one of their albums.
Yeah I can sort of tell with a few bands like Judas Priest and Maiden but I suppose it depends how big a fan you are.

its very easy to tell, martys are the beautifully crafted sweeping melodys while daves are tremolo picking the pentatonic scale bullshit, still pretty cool though but marty rapes
