Yup, still one of my favorites, which is odd considering I tend to have a strong preference for lead work over riffs, but something about that track really does it for me.

No worries, bro. I really like being corrected.

love Unwavering Vow now. As the lead single I've been neglecting to listen to it closely. The lead guitar in the choruses is simply sweet. Also I don't think the clean in Eulogy is Brendan Murphy's voice. (or processed?)

@Get_Low I'm a bit surprised you didn't like this record, if you like Nothing Left To Love. Do you mind if I ask what the reasons are?
edit: I read your criticism about the clean, but the weight of those clean is not much on here.

The average needs to get low is all

Shit cleans, refusal to innovate or change up their sound, uninteresting leads, boring breakdowns.
They perfected their sound NLTL, so it was either change it up or live in the shadow of that album, and they chose the latter.

Why bothering so much about ratings like, come on

Can't agree with you at all. Apart from the subjective element, I believe you will also find it difficult to get facts (maybe I mean final avg ratings) to back them up.

@Get_Low I am not done yet
"They perfected their sound NLTL" --> Self-limiting thinking
"so it was either change it up or live in the shadow of that album, and they chose the latter." --> Binary thinking
I'm sorry to get at you, but I've wanted to attack/combat your stubborn thinking for a long time.

The Clean singing all across the album feels so incredibly forced and not natural. Also I noticed when listening from front to back the second half feels much stronger than the first. Overall a good album, although their second weakest behind you're not you anymore.

Listening for the first time. This might be their best work so far. And I love their discography. The hype is real.

I get that people don’t like this album as much as NLTL, but I don’t get how someone can love NLTL and despise this when the sound is so similar.

Struggling to get into the last 3 tracks. First half still slays. NLTL my fav, think this is on par with YNYA

I'll definitely have bias towards this album, though objectively I think it's probably their third best behind NLTL and YNYA? Assuming 7/26/2020 is when Brendan brought Kuma home, both our pets were brought home and put to sleep within the same week - I think when I hear Whispers then that mood just kinda hangs over the whole record if that makes sense. Gonna be a difficult one to listen to lol

agreed 100%. So Get Low's pile of complaints is incomprehensible to me. I wish he would listen to it again with some appreciation, but usually he is as stubborn as a bull. I am likely to be ignored indefinitely.
