The DEP influence on the record overall is palpable, and that's not a bad thing

At best, its directly copying off The Dillinger Escape Plan. In such sections the vocalist even sounds like Greg. These moments are pretty decent but I cant get behind something so obviously living in the shadow of something else.
At worst, it's Bring Me The Horizon tier radio metalcore. He even does that radio core voice where its not singing or screaming but rather this in between strained gruff melodic shout singing. If you've heard the aforementioned band you know exactly what I mean. I hate it, I really do.
For the most part, the album is in flux between these two bands, with some additional genre salad slapped in.

I havent read the lyrics but what I did hear came off like your typical surface level we live in a society ranting. Like a twitlonger or some shit.
Wanted to like this band cus its cool to see women in the avant garde metal space but this is mid, and that is me being charitable.
