A b-side from this album leaked on the kendrick subreddit. It’s so good. Can’t believe it didn’t make the cut

i mean forever story >>> big steppers for sure
but at the same time i think kendrick could easily roll out of bed and make something better than forever story if he felt like it... while i feel like jid could easily never make something as good as forever story ever again
this album is imo the first misstep in an otherwise perfect discog... while forever story is the first worthwhile project jid has ever dropped

Maybe it’s because I haven’t revisited Damn. in a long time, but I genuinely think this is better than Damn.. Damn. felt like his misstep.

DAMN is incredible, cannot imagine thinking this is as good, let alone better
|

damn is mediocrity at its finest
literally the last artist I wanted to go commercial after an album like tpab, oh lawd whyy
Oh I remember, money
|
| |
a good testament to that is how infrequently you hear Humble/DNA/Element these days despite how overwhelmingly everywhere they were when damn released, everyone forgot
