man these guys put on a hell of a live show
couldn't have really asked for a better setlist either... no vengeance falls or silence in the snow bullshit, only one butt metal song (tho tbf heart from your hate seems to be their biggest song these days)... even played shogun

Nice! I’d love to see them at some point, Matt always seems to have a really good stage presence in live vids

It's been about 5/6 years since I've seen them but they absolutely blew me away. So many great songs, the whole band is just amazing instrumentally. Missed them when they just came through Boston but hopefully I'll catch them next time.

Saw them in Montreal 5 days ago, I second that the setlist was fantastic, very balanced. Two from What the Dead Men Say, two from the Court of the Dragon, two from Shogun (incl. the title track!), two from Sin and the Sentence, two from Ascendancy, one from The Crusade, and I think two from In Waves. These guys are in their second peak.

Was at the MTL show as well. Crowd was insane, the circle pit in To The Rats was the biggest I've ever seen in a venue of that size. I thought Matt was just being nice telling us we were the best crowd but he's even made a post about it on twitter and now I read that he's telling other crowds as well, I guess he wasn't full of shit hahaha.

Saw them in MD the other day - can confirm that he would not stop bringing up Montreal. Whole show slapped though, esp Shogun. Last time I saw them live was 7 or 8 years ago at Mayhem fest and it was not great. Granted, it was a seated stadium show, so there was no energy at all lol.

"Apparently their tour van got shot at by BB Guns last night, no one was hurt but one of the windows on their van got blown open"
Yeah, classic Albuquerque. Bands are starting to avoid this place like the plague, and I don't blame them. The venues suck, crime is out of control, and locals have almost no accountability half the time. We need either new venues on the "better" side of town or need to start having "crews" come back. The venue that Trivium played at had two biker gangs shoot each other up not even a few months before, the day that Sanguisugabogg was playing there.

Gatecreeper had their trailer stolen when they were here earlier in the year. APD won't do anything about it because the people stealing these trailers are parking them in private properties near the venues, and the bands know that because they usually have AirTags/GPS. It fucking sucks, man; it's embarrassing - especially after everything that happened with Vein.fm

I love this album, but holy shit the screams are weak compared to Sin And The Sentence

You have a point, I know he's trying to save his throat but I hope he finds some way to bring back the older screams.

The new track is pretty sick. I'm getting a lot of black metal influence.

Looks like HSB covered a Trivium song as well; would have completely missed them lol. Thanks for sharing!

Trivium was a blast last night! Set was completely unpredictable, they ended up playing more from Ascendency than both Deadman & Dragon. Some really nice surprises! Was good to hear A Crisis of Revelation though, translates well live.
