DiH > Inlet > Astronaut. In terms of scale, the vocals and music in Astronaut more the most part match each other. What makes DiH work so well is that the music towers over the vocals, which increases the sense of scale for the band. Inlet greatly furthers that sense of scale.

Ohms is honestly horrible compared to this. It literally grates my eardrums. I'm definitely in the minority but damn.

Lol I enjoy Ohms but right now I would put it at a solid 4, it’s def not like top 3 Deftones. Whereas I see this as pretty much equal to Astronaut and Downward (approaching a 5)

I think this is slightly better than DiH, but I could see someone preferring the former.

all of the “ballads” on this album are part of pretty otherwise loud af songs. this the heaviest hum by a lot 4 me

this is essentially a mix between shoegaze and stoner rock. definitely their heaviest

it really just now struck me how different this is from their older stuff, aside from the vocals. pretty commendable after a 20+ year absence

Kind of a miracle how they still managed to keep shit so ethereal in the middle of how massive this thing gets. Aoty by a damn sight

Yes! Spotlights are massive, more into post metal territory but it has similar vibe definitely.
