In all honesty I like the album, but it's too much fun dissing on Cage haha.

Say what you want about Carnage, but it wildly exceeds my expectations for any Nicholas Cage album. Certainly didn't know he had this in him.

For anyone interested, I made a comprehensive Nick Cave playlist on Spotify that covers his studio discog with The Birthday Party, Bad Seeds, and Grinderman in chronological order. I did NOT include the film scores he did with Ellis (sorry) and didn't include songs that featured Cave on vocals (i.e. Current 93's "All the Pretty Little Horses"). Unfortunately, Spotify doesn't feature all the songs and b-sides they've released, but I included all the ones that were available.

Hilarious to see Nick Cave tie himself in knots by defending his boycott of Russia/Ukraine but not Israel. Another fraud.

What’s silly about calling out this fraud’s hypocrisy? He played Israel, to push back against “censorship of musicians”, but does not apply the same standard to other occupations. He calls an apartheid ‘complex’ and the subjugation of and military occupation of Palestinians ‘different’. The man is a fraud, a coward and an apartheid apologist.

The Israel Palestine thing is something that has been going on for thousands of years with both ‘sides’ as bad as each other it’s not a simple case of Israel have been cunts for a few decades.
History dictates the issues not several years without any wider context whatsoever.

Anyway Ghosteen. Shit album.

I had this 4.5d for about 2 years, then I saw Nick and Warren play most of the album live and had to bump it. I think it's basically perfect.

“Both sides as bad as each other”

That’s about the most ignorant, racist view you can take of the situation. No, brutal apartheid by an occupying nuclear power (Israel) is not ‘both sides’. It’s as one sided as it gets. You’re a transphobe, though, zakalwe, so I shouldn’t expect anything better than bigotry from you.

Tuna, take some time to educate yourself along with zakalwe:

Nick Cave is a coward.
