Should have seen that coming.

Egarran some of your more controversial Opeth ratings are very agreeable to me. Damnation/Still Life particularly stand out. Funny how we do not agree on Heritage and this then, but I guess you can't have everything.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I freakin love this intro...that church bell is so damn familiar, the exact melody I listened over and over when I grew up...together with the opposing synth sound much like pinkfloyd's On The Run track ...perfectly incoherent...I think it clearly portraits the true intention of the album. Is damn grower let me tell you guys...but you must willing to let that happen.

Yeah Opeth does something with melodies from your childhood. Esp. Morningrise and BP for me.

I thought it was maybe a Scandinavian thing - good to hear it's worldwide.

Catholic European at least...that bell at the intro (care to check)...4 universal notes from every little church around...its crazy to think of how viral it is and how its marked on the back of our brain.

3-4 during the weekend lol. Definitely overshadows their previous effort, and PC (which I never finished lol for some reason)

I'm a sucker for Heritage, but this is psychrocking damn hard.

Yet it contains both River and Eternal Rains, both of which rule super hard.

*it's the worst opeth album (fixed)

I just reminded myself of why I hardly ever check sound-offs, interestingly all the well-thought and out eloquent ones have positive scores... coincidence? I think not.

Do you prefer Sorceress over PC? That's an unpopular opinion, I'd love to hear why!

I didn't enjoy either one, but marginally yeah. I think it helped hearing more of the Sorceress tracks live, the production completely killed any chance that record had of making an impact.

Both suck on the same level, to be fair, so I don't see how that would be unpopular at all.

Hmm yeah, fair enough. That's my main issue with that one too. It's horrible, makes you go ''oh this is actually quite nic---YUCK WHAT IS THAT!?''.

I think PC is a little underrated actually, it's alright, albeit nothing special.

It's the difference between a high 2.5 and a low 2.5 - i.e. not hugely significant.
