Feldman is responsible for the only true good track on here.

Dudes.....the hopelessness that plagues every lyrical theme on this album is killing me (along with half of the music). Underoath have always been very self aware of their shortcomings as human beings but have typically had a consistently hopeful outlook on the future. Disambiguation took it to the dark level of hopelessness but it worked with that album because it was heavy as balls (and the lyrics didn't cheese too hard) but this takes it to another level of despair and pairs it with pop. I do not understand at all what they were thinking.

But it's Underoath so it gets a 3......that being said I am so disappointed.

except bloodlust hold your breath and no frame are better than anything with cowriters on them

producer choice is also a big issue here it seems. they’ve dropped videos of the making of this record periodically and this is apparently their first record with pre pro

The 1.0 ratings here are just as ridiculous as the 5.0s. Half the songs are pretty good, half are pretty bad.

Well it is obviously subjective, but it's gotta be hard rationalizing away at why this is either a 1 or 5. It's an alright album with some good moments in the second half, but is overall a massive let down because of the quality of work that Underoath had released before.

I'm vibing. It seems to keep the unmistakable Underoath vibe. While the formula has changed, the dynamic remains the same. It's ferocious in a different way, but still hits hard. Lots of bands seem to fail in transition to a more accessible sound, but in my opinion Underoath has succeeded. Color me impressed.
