It's only a few minutes shorter than Section 80, really. TPaB was kinda long, but Kendrick's projects tend to be run around an hour anyway, so it's not really that short.

The album leaked. It's called ''Here's another nasally, boring, and overhyped album''

Confirmed by sounwave that the “official version” he’s talking about was about the leak not having certain parts in it.
“Explain this

Fake, dunno if you’re being sarcastic or not.
People seem like something is missing because it’s more minimalistic than TPAB and GKMC. There ain’t no album coming, would’ve dropped by now.
“go to r/Kendrick and look at the theories, they're really really solid for the most part.”
Really don’t get it at all, the whole brick wall changing colour, TOC thing, all of it is just grasping at straws to the maximum. Plus damnation is spelled with one “N”. If it was DAMN.NATION that’d be bad spelling bro.

Blush - yeah I know, but kendrick seems to be more ambitious everytime he releases something, gkmc was about hour and ten minutes and tpab was about hour twenty, so I've anticipated something more ambitious than this really. The whole idea and straightforward and accesible approach kendrick took on this seems strange as a follow up to TPAB.
Drummerboy123 - i think the lyrics actually say more than these theories. Plus if he took so much time to keep the second album as a secret, why would he release it on the normal release time, I think it might still come out today.

"The whole idea and straightforward and accesible approach kendrick took on this seems strange as a follow up to TPAB"
I'd disagree in the sense that I don't think its all that surprising after 2 very heavy conceptual projects that he'd want to go for a change of direction to free him up to different creative routes (the amount of bravado on here, for instance, wouldn't have fit all that well in the last few projects but I feel like its something Kendrick wanted to get back to after achieving the success that he has; similarly, the diversity of sounds here and how he switches up beats a couple of times in some tracks feels like a symptom of the freedom of a less conceptual album). Also there is a lot of stuff going on here below the surface, a lot of subtleties are recurring motifs and themes, that make it quite ambitious, though of course in a different sense than the more overtly grandiose TPAB and GKMC. Not trying to tell you that you are wrong, as you are spot on in broad terms, but figured I'd add my take on his direction

Kendrick has nothing to prove, if you look at it as some smooth jams rather than "Oh it's gonna be another CLASSIC" you won't be disappointed. Not every album has to be a conceptual masterpiece and commentary on sociopolitical issues

Drummerboy123 - I was not dissapointed, I just expected something else. I didn't expect another TPAB, I just expected conceptual album, because that is where kendrick shines IMO. Lyrically and instrumentally it is very enjoyable piece of music. I guess I really want him to catch me off guard with that second release tho.

"Kendrick has nothing to prove"
Exactly
He did what he wanted on TPAB and that was something completely different in terms of sound and here he is again doing whatever tf he wants and thats to get back to the core black hippy sound

Don't think that Chuck's explanation for why he digs the album is much of stretch.
