i think it's somewhat underrated and i appreciated their attempts to diversify again, but it was 50/50 on what worked and what failed

every teardrop is a waterfall and charlie brown are two of their best songs

hurts like heaven and don't let it break your heart are nice deeper cuts too

however you then get tracks like princess of china which is just awful and was when rihanna was going through her extremely mediocre mid-career, and although i liked paradise at the time and still don't mind it all that much the amount it was overplayed was insane

ghost stories is always underrated imo, magic is the best song they've done this decade and i really like sky full of stars

warning sign is one of their best tracks im jealous the piano on that track is gorgeous

Maybe I'm just out of the loop with the Coldplay discourse but last I checked, pretty much everyone who liked Coldplay was creaming their undies over Viva La Vida although it's basically pop's attempt at getting "epic". It's never fun when the discourse amounts to "HEY DO YOU KNOW [x big hit]".
