no green but deflector on it? hmm i dunno if i should get my hopes up even though they've been my favorite band for years now. musically and personality-wise, like these guys are the kindest dudes on the face of the planet. i remember when eliot babin sent my mutual friend a video of him wishing me a happy birthday cuz he remembered and wanted to send his best wishes, 16 year old me felt like the luckiest TA fan on earth at the time lol

i know green was a record store day single but compared to deflector, i really hope the tracklist sounds more like what they were experimenting with on green than what they were working with on deflector. either way, i'm still psyched and there's no doubt in my mind that it'll be at least a 3.5-4 at worst. these guys have insane consistency

Fuck limelight is great
I still seriously doubt they can top Stage Four, but I’m hyped as hell for this record

pssssssst, is survived by is actually their best and most nuanced record so far, even if stage four is a conceptual masterpiece.... shhhhhh

Gonna be interesting how they follow this up but I am convinced this band can do no wrong.

Should I start with the debut, or maybe check this out first and go back to the beginning?

But damn, all their albums are short as fuck! Like EP length. That kinda sucks.

Dude, I would start chronologically all the way from their 2008 demo to Stage Four. They've never released anything bad at all, and it's a journey to see the progression and maturity in their music. Be sure to check the splits too, the one with La Dispute just might be the best split ever released.

Yeah I’ve been meaning to check the La Dispute split as I fucking love La Dispute.

Listening to Deflector and Flowers and You — both fucking great. I think I’m really gonna like these guys.

"But damn, all their albums are short as fuck! Like EP length. That kinda sucks."
That's TA for you man, there's a shit ton of short songs, especially in their early work. Up until the song released today, their song from the Pianos Become The Teeth split was their longest song at a little over 4 minutes. I highly recommend checking out their entire discography. And if you haven't checked out Pianos yet, I would recommend the same.
