Favorite tracks for me were 21st Century, Torture Me, Turn It Again, Death Of a Martian, Warlocks, Charlie, She's Only 18, and Make You Feel Better (in no particular order).

Overall, a terrific album by one of my favorite-of-all-time bands.

For me it wasn't as good as Californication, but still a damn good record. This Message Edited On 07.25.06

This album, definitly one of the biggest highlights of 2006. There is so much music and so many different styles!

i'm still finding new things to love about it!

I read somewhere that Frusciante had 'Figured out what Hendrix was all about'. Why this means he has to make a poor effort of emulating him, I guess no one will ever know. Maybe it's just one of the after effects from the whole 'almost dying from a heroin overdose' thing.

That aside, the whole album's almost amazingly un-spectacular. There's just plain nothing interesting happening, and that's really not helped by them stretching it out to ridiculous proportions.

Heroin was kind of a part of the whoe nineties scene. You know, alternative rock, flannel, and opium. The Big Three.

my once beloved Chili Peppers are losing their funkativity......they are consumed by mtv and radio mainstream.

^^ Well, then let's hope MTV consumes them even more, 'cause they sound way better now than they did ten or fifteen years ago.

By the way, they've been consumed by mainstream radio and MTV since BloodSugarSexMagik, which was when they were still funkified, so your point is kind of null.
