"I'm looking for a band that sounds like those last four minutes of Garden of Light."

"last four minutes"

"Some bands come close (explosions in the sky) but it needs to be heavier."

"heavier"

YONL have parts that sound like the last four minutes of GOL but are heavier than bands like EITS. as i said, youre dumb.

His rating is incomprehensible because he has Wavering Radiant at a 4. Like wtf the two albums aren't even that different.

WR is largely more prog metal related and it's like a night and day polish between the two. I think all of their albums have something different and awesome to offer.

Russian Circles kind of does that style. What I've heard from Pelican (which isn't much, honestly) might scratch your itch too.

When it comes to Pelican, nothing even comes close to Last Day Of Winter. They knew how to beautifully post metal with that song. It's so perfect.

first ISIS song I ever heard was Holy Tears so I gotta give this album credit. Even though it isn't their best it's definitely their calmest

I heard Holy Tears when I was a wee lad and went to the local record store looking for ISIS albums and found Panopticon for 50c and it was like the best day of my life
