It's unfair to point out labrie is the weakest link considering the other guys' are really talented and instrumental playing ability doesn't age as harshly as the voice

Labrie's voice has aged particularly badly because he ruptured his vocal cords, though. There are lots of metal vocalists who get to his age and can still sing well (for example, Ray Alder or Hansi Kürsch). He's done ok, I don't think he's ever been awful, but he'll never be as great as he was on this and I&W.

Geddy lee seems to have problems singing the last ten years, but he's better than ever on bass

Fans of a rock star who died just don't want to hear how someone thinks everything they did was bad, it's just unnecessary, but whatever say what you want. Just don't expect people to thank you for sharing your shitty uncalled for opinion out of nowhere.

And It's completely fair to criticize LaBrie, many of their fans have pointed out that he's noticeably become worse recently during shows.

Mike Portnoy was always a way better songwriter than Petrucci. As soon as he left the band, things started going downhill fast.

Mike Portnoy pushed for his awful "singing" in the RR albums and out of place blast beats, and almost all of his projects since leaving have been awful, so he's declined just as much if not more so actually. Myung should just leave and start a new project, he'd be better off.

"Artuma didn't like a Chris Cornell song and since he's dead it makes it even more insulting"

I really hope this is sarcasm.

If you're seeing them live and pay tickets for them you have every right to criticise the man. It's really unfortunate what happened to him due to the food poisoning incident but with his evident lack of energy on stage and people paying to see them it is what it is.

That's right, and he pulled through from the food poisoning and did fine for a long time which is impressive, but it really sounds like he doesn't care overall recently, which isn't fair to the concert goers.

The argument can be sways the other way round as well tbh, if someone is way pass his prime and will sound like shit why are you seeing him? Speak with your wallets.

'people make mistakes, don't really care, nobody was waiting James to pay any tribute anyways.'

it's just a testament to his laziness.....the band is terrible live nowadays, 100% because of him.....this is exactly what i was talking about earlier in the thread
