"I think Corey is little narcissistic in his abilities these days."

nah corey's a really chill dude who has heaps of respect for anyone besides himself, unless he's being like egotistically jokey. if anything, he's pushing himself for a better vocal performance than any of the albums combined (after all, this one's for paul), not realising that nothing he does can hold a candle to the shrieks on Vol. 3.

if there's anyone on the band that reeks of narcissism, it's clown. see: deliberately attempting to make Knotfest smell like camel shit because "le avant", and having well-documented shoulder-knudging with band members in the past.

It's a band with like five guitarists all tuned to low F or something; being "heavy" is a non negotiable.

And there are still plenty of bands with two or even one guitarist tuned to D or E minor that go heavier than this.

Are you talking about feels related to nostalgia? Because I haven't been emotionally impacted by it in any way really.

Daily reminder that if you've rated any Slipknot release post-Iowa a 3.0 or above, and haven't listened to House of Gold and Bones yet, then you're doing yourself a great disservice.

Preordered them both at the time and listened them them loads, fantastic albums.

They're about on par with vol 3 and better than AHIG and The Gray Chapter.

"nah just feels. best thing about this band is their percussion and rythm work"

That should be a strong point to anyone, considering how many of the fuckers are on rhythm and percussion duty.

Nah, they've done some great stuff over the years, it's just the last couple of releases don't work like they used to imo.
