So if you can't really provide specific singers that back up the whole thing about Vedder being textbook grunge then you really can't make such a statement in the first damn place (force of habit to dissect arguments from my years taking honors/AP english)
And I'm obviously talking about your arguments in general since you completely embraced your fuck you persona e.g. "Your shots at me are so bad. When did I say I liked Nevermind you moron?" When I was clearly talking about the poorly worded case you make of this sounding overproduced when the reality is that it is far from that, and whatever I can keep going but this is stressing me out too much
I'm assuming Once is your fav on the album ALA?

The last half of the album is so underrated. The guitar work and overall brilliant songwriting of Porch onward to Release like fuckkk it's just perfection. I personally don't see Pearl Jam as grunge in anyway (although that's due to my perspective that grunge was just a musical movement as opposed to a proper music genre). These guys are more akin to the hard rock of AC/DC or even Guns N' Roses

Yeah I'm familiar with the concept of opinions but if you're making vitriolic statements about a cult classic album on its thread you can expect to be met with some hostility. My opinion is that since this was released before both In Utero and Dirt it was instrumental in defining the grunge sound (definately more so then Facelift, Bleach, Superfuzz, louder then love or anything that came before it) and I think it stacks up to the one or two of the 90's Rock albums you mentioned that are actually Rock albums. At the end of the day if you don't appreciate this album thats fine but don't come here just to contend with people who do.

I just joined the thread and didn't see those comments and I already argued a bit with Ars concerning Vedder's awesome vocals a while ago. Don't remember how that turned out

Idk the exaggerated fuck you attitude can get tiresome and can unintentionally elicit such hostile and prodding remarks in return. That's why I always avoid insulting users when in heated arguments or in cases where my opinion greatly differs from the concensus. Yes you can be sarcastic it's the internet but don't get really snide cos that's only going to worsen the circumstance or because of, y'know, Poe's Law
