On that note:

"Opinions" is an interesting way of describing the "criticism" I have received for the last 30 pages or so.



Also, when did I ever say this album was perfect? I said it was damn-near impossible to fault it because the pros of the album shine through so clearly, so my 5/5 does not indicate a "perfect album" like I seem to have led you to believe.



Also, my response at littler wasn't me getting upset. I was just puzzled by his usage of the word "sickening".



Like someone else pointed out before, the way the people have expressed disagreement for this review is beyond absurd and does in no way, shape or form mirror how people would talk to me in real life.



I can take criticism and I can take frenzied commenters damn-near attacking me -- hence why I tend to refute all of them -- but some string of comments here almost defy immaturity (getting neg'd for the shirt I'm wearing in my avatar being a shining example).



I know it's the internet and that people will act like buffons just for the hell of it, but it just seems unnecessary for that type of stuff to be clogging the comment section.



I do appreciate the comments that express disagreement in an intelligent manner. As stated earlier, it inspires interesting discussions.



Just my two cents, though.

iChuckles, perhaps instead of focusing on refuting any and all criticism, you should take your pride

out of the equation and try to implement what you can positively in future writings. Yeah, not all of

it is constructive, but people don't have to conform to your "standards", so move on. This was only

your fifth review, perfection isn't expected.

Your grammar is poor (generally there's like 1-3 simple mistakes per paragraph)
Your tone is incredibly annoying in that it switches back-and-forth from very casual to overly formal (i.e. "Jason, you crazy maniac – you literally have no idea how right you are.")
So so many unnecessary (and often a little nonsensical) colloquial expressions that really weaken your descriptions ("hit another homerun" "f you attitude" "every neuron in my head..." lol)
The obvious hyperbole throughout is laughable
The description in general is just really vague and you don't really justify the rating at all -- simply saying I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT over and over and then repeating that IT'S ENERGETIC AND CATCHY once again doesn't spur one to take a review very seriously

I like that you've responded to criticism thoughtfully here, at least, so there's my thoughts

I'm not asking anyone to conform to any standards, I was just voicing my opinion on the whole thing in the most articulated way possible.



And by refuting I meant refuting all the personal attacks, critcism like you and SeaAnemone just provided is happily accepted!

Word of advice to anybody who wants to review an album and give it a 5... Please review the album from a critical standpoint, not just an "OMG I FUCKING LOVE THIS ALBUM AND I LOVE THIS BAND IT'S SO GOOD" standpoint. The album is not a 5 in any way, shape or form. I'd give it a solid 2.5 or 3.

and also, this is not hardcore. What you're describing in your rants as music with open-chord breakdowns and two-steps is nu-metalcore (also known as 'scenecore' or 'shitcore'). I have reason to believe that you have never actually heard what hardcore punk sounds like.
