btw i'm just now getting around to reading your review and the entire first paragraph sounds like you're trying to convince everyone that all of their old shit sucks and is sooooo much different from this when it's really not at all lol

That's a fair criticism, and I recognize that I did come off as hating their old stuff (which I don't btw), but I do feel that this is noticeably expanding their sound in the most palpable way yet. Some might feel that it isn't any different than their last two albums, but to each their own.

i think the biggest progression they made on this album was getting whoever produced it to produce it because it sounds better than both leveler and (obvs) constellations. i sometimes wish they'd branch out on guitar tunings tho because i think every song they've ever written has been in C

Actually, at least one song on here is in low B flat which is a nice change. I think it might be Count it All as Lost. I'm not a guitar player, but I know they aren't all in C on here
