Yeh absolutely very sludgy, I think 'Stone' is a testament to that.
It just needs some polishing in regards to track length

It has a really strong beginning, but after the t/t is gets repetitive and boring. This was the first AIC album i only memorized a couple of songs, instead of the whole album.

You say that but Lab Monkey is one of my favorites here and Low Ceiling is one of Jerry's best solos imo.
Really just Scalpel and Breath on a Window are the only low points for me.
I read it somewhere, probably on sput tbh, but Phantom Limb sounds like a sludgier Slayer song and Choke is a great closer.

Hard disagree.
There’s nothing here that tops A Looking In View, Private Hell, and Black Gives Way to Blue imo.
And Your Decision and When the Sun Rose Again are way better acoustic cuts than Voices and Scalpel.
