I mean not liking Shai Hulud is cool, but pretending this is below average metalcore is absolutely hilarious, especially considering how depressingly terrible the scene's gotten.

That's fine, but this is like when people give As The Roots Undo and Jane Doe 1 ratings, there's no

objectivity to it, it's just anti-intellectual bashing on the most basic level.

Not being into a genre does not make seminal bands in the genre shitty bands.

Of course there's no objectivity to it. I'm not gonna give it higher credit if I don't enjoy it

" As The Roots Undo and Jane Doe 1 ratings, there's no

No.
As much as I love Jane Doe I can clearly see why someone would think so lowly of it.

It's true, objectively speaking there is undeniable talent to it and to say it's talentless is
outright wrong, or to say "is just noise" is also wrong, but when it comes to enjoying music there
is no objectivity.

You either do it or you don't, and ratings are only a representation of how much someone enjoys
something, nothing more.

If someone doesn't enjoy something on any level and actually received negative effects because of
the object in question, then a 1 is justified, there's no need for any other explantion
