CL reveals that basically Jon was the balls behind Gaza, and that the other guys esp. new singer (old bassist) were and are basically fruitcakes with art degrees who happen to make metal

I like them almost as much but my issue with them were the Cohen tracks making the albums sound inconsistent only cuz we’d skip em. They may not have a “Not With All the Hope...” or “Hospital Fat Bags”, but at least their rippers rip. “I Am Healed” gets me more pumped than anything Gaza made. Lucero is a solid rabid replacement, but he’s no towering dinosaur sounding roarer.

I was unbelievably excited for cult leader when they dropped their nothing left for us ep and then their next ep came out and was just the worst thing any of these guys have been involved with. Id struggle to say it was bad but the argument can definitely be made. Still haven't jammed the most recent album.

Gaza debut is the sloppiest most abrasive shit. V metal v kvlt

I maintain this opinion to this day

I Don’t Care Where I Go When I Die is the most filthy, heaviest album ever made
