They truly are a special band. Even in the relatively short time I've been listening since becoming a fan I've already made so many memories with their music as the backing track. They already mean so much to me.

This band is like 90% memories, and 10% real, analytically-objective musical enjoyment. And that's what I love about them.

To me they’re just that good at what they do lol

I don’t have memories connected to anything these guys have put out outside of the singles on Ocean Avenue

Ocean Ave = me at 16, my first relationship/breakup

Lights and Sounds = HS graduation

Paper Walls = freshman year of college, new friends & new love interests

WYTTSY = first job, fighting for a girl I ultimately lost

Southern Air = getting over above girl & the beginning of my relationship with my wife

Lift a Sail = getting laid off and finding a new job while planning my wedding

Yellowcard S/T = buying our first house and deciding to try to have a baby

My whole life has been soundtracked by this band.

that's awesome. one of the things I love about music is the way your brain connects it to a particular time or place

Yellowcard is in the hallowed ranks of "bands I first heard on Madden that ended up defining my life". That was where I first heard Thrice too, and Brand New was on NHL 04 I think. I was pretty sheltered growing up so that was the first I'd heard of any of those bands

This is their best for me closely followed by OA. From there it's any combination of WYTTSY, PW, and S/T depending on my mood. Even L&S has been pushing a 4.5 for me lately. These guys are just so consistent.

I had the CD for this and loved listening to it in the car in the spring/summer. Unfortunately it snapped in half somehow about a year ago :/ it’s just not the same in other formats... I got attached to listening to the actual CD in the car and need to just order a new one so it feels right again
